Double Page Spread Analys

I started researching the sort of layout I could take inspiration for my double age spread as I like a lot of the ideas used in the examples below.

The diagonal line across the page makes the design a lot more interesting and intriguing. I also like how the red writing is used to highlight certain parts of the writing. For example: the first paragraph of information. I would like to replicate these qualities in my double page spread.

I really like the use of boxes around some texts, and how the colour scheme sticks to blue and black. I will have a photo of my model taking up half of a page, similar to this, and have the interview laid out similarly. I also think the font used at the top of the page is very creative, and how the writer has used different fonts and boldness to differentiate different parts of the headline.
The title is written into the photo. The editors have cleverly coloured the words "a gray area" in gray, and used different shades and fonts for the title, quotes, and hints of yellow around the quotes and in the introduction.  I like how there is a quote here in the centre of the page. It draws the reader in and the writing based around it makes it a focal point for the audience.
